The Stem Girls is an animated edutainment series chronicling the adventures of sister-duo Luna Stemele (11) and Unathi Stemele (6) as they navigate the everyday joys and challenges of growing up in the fictional kingdom of Maruvia, under the care of their aunt Dr Stemele (aka Mama Stem), a renowned Paleontologist who works at the Maropeng Museum. With the help of Nailo, their inquisitive robot friend from Planet Astra, and his AI powered guide Astra Mentora, the Stem Girls put their young minds to work to find creative solutions to problems they encounter every day at home and in their community while learning about science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM), and having lots of fun along the way.
Still under development, Stem Tutor is an AI-powered learning assistant to inspire, coach and mentor African girls aged 12 - 16 years (Grades 6 – 10) to pursue studies and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The tutor is aimed to spark imagination, encourage curiosity, exploration and discovery - critical skills. The platform will provide resources and support to help participating girls in completing specific tasks and assignments, and develop problem solving skills.
Connect with like-minded learners from all over the world and exchange ideas, resources, and support. Our community is a great place to ask questions, get feedback, and share your knowledge with others.
